RESTORING HISTORY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Restored Vintage Hults Bruk 4.5lb Felling Axe

$365.00

Before You Enquire…

Unlike modern mass-produced tools, there’s only one of these Restorations.

Many of my restored axes and tools are advertised on eBay and Facebook Marketplace as well as here on the Forgotten Steel website. That means they can sell at any time.

If you’re interested, send me a quick enquiry below. I’ll let you know if it’s still available and answer any questions before we go any further.

I’d much rather spend five minutes chatting about an axe or restoration than have someone disappointed because it sold elsewhere.

Description

Some axes need a complete restoration.

Others simply deserve careful attention and a second chance to do what they were built for.

This vintage Hults Bruk 4.5lb Swedish felling axe arrived in exceptional condition. The head showed very little evidence of use, the poll remained crisp and undamaged, and the original Hults Bruk maker’s stamp is beautifully deep and well defined.

Rather than over-restoring it, I chose to preserve its honest character.

The original hickory handle has been carefully sanded by hand, treated with Forgotten Steel Workshop Oil to nourish and protect the timber and a smooth, natural feel in the hand.

The edge has been refined and sharpened to my own working standard. It’s ready for the job it was designed to do.

At 4.5lb, this is a serious working axe. Whether you’re felling timber, splitting larger rounds or simply appreciate the craftsmanship of a traditional Swedish axe, it has the weight, balance and quality to serve for generations to come.

This isn’t a reproduction or a decorative wall hanger.

It’s an authentic vintage Hults Bruk that’s ready to head back into the bush.

Every axe restored at Forgotten Steel is completed by hand in my workshop here in Australia.

Restore it. Use it. Pass it on.

No two vintage axes are ever the same. When this one is sold, it’s gone.
