Thanks for Supporting Forgotten Steel

Every T-shirt, hoodie and cap you buy does far more than add another piece to your wardrobe.

As a one-man workshop, every purchase helps me rescue more forgotten axes, restore more old tools, research Australia’s manufacturing history, write new articles for the website, and keep sharing what I’ve learned with fellow collectors and restorers.

Quite simply, you’re helping preserve a small piece of Australian history.

So thank you.

I genuinely appreciate every order, every kind word and every bit of support.

Description

Although not scientifically proven, I’m reasonably confident this shirt will help you swing an axe a little harder, sharpen your tools a little better, and dramatically improve your chances of finding a Hytest at the next clearing sale.

I can’t promise it’ll stop you missing the chopping block or snapping an axe handle. That’s still on you.

What I can promise is a bloody comfortable T-shirt that’s built for days in the workshop, weekends at the markets, or simply reminding everyone that old steel deserves a second chance.

Made from 100% organic combed ring-spun cotton, it’s soft enough to wear all day, tough enough to keep up with whatever you’re working on, and finished with a quality ribbed collar that looks just as good at the pub as it does covered in a bit of workshop dust.

Like a good vintage axe, it’s built to last—not just survive a couple of washes before becoming a rag in the shed.

Features

100% organic combed ring-spun cotton
Mid-weight 180 g/m² fabric that’s comfortable year-round
Regular fit for everyday wear
Set-in sleeves
Durable double-needle stitching on the sleeves and hem
Ribbed collar that holds its shape
Internal neck tape for added comfort
Certified organic cotton under the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OCS (Organic Content Standard)

Wear it in the workshop. Wear it on a pick. Wear it down the pub.

Just don’t blame the shirt if you still can’t negotiate the price of that Kelly Dandenong.
